Aurora, Texas, UFO Crash Mystery

What makes this incident more fascinating is that it occurred before aircraft existed and before science fiction was popular.
On April 17, 1897, a mysterious airship is said to have crashed in the town of Aurora, Texas...exploding into many small fragments. Reportedly, the occupant was child-sized and greenish, and the craft contained papers covered with hieroglyphics. The pilot's body is supposed to be buried in the local cemetery.

Legend has it that residents of Aurora, TX, had their own alien encounter more than 100 years ago. Just north of Fort Worth, Aurora has a population of 376. Something about it is different...mysterious, and some say, down-right weird.

"It's just a legend," said Barbara Brammer, Aurora Historian.

April 19, 1897 would change this town's identity forever. Read more

The Most Mysterious NASA Photos of Possible UFOs

Some "skeptics" say that if UFOs exist, NASA should have photos of them. In fact, they do..
The Ghost Diaries has never claimed that UFOs are necessarily of extraterrestrial origin. In fact, we’ve listed 8 possible explanations of UFOs: clouds (or natural causes), hallucinations, aliens, humans (or AI) from the future, holograms, secret government technology, human/alien cooperative technology, and last but certainly not least, glitches in the matrix.

But to repeat, the term UFO, and claims of UFOs, DOES NOT ever have to specifically refer to aliens. Quite honestly, we think new drone technology is behind many of the contemporary sightings. However, to our knowledge, the human race hasn’t put drones in space yet, which means space UFOs are the most mysterious of them all. The following photos show photos taken by NASA that either can’t be fully explained or have been mysteriously deleted from the database. Ranging from tower-like structures on the moon to a spaceship that seems to be in orbit around the Earth, what follows are the most mysterious NASA photos of possible UFOs: Read more

10 More Conspiracy Theories

"Conspiracy theorist" was a term seeded into the media by the CIA in the 1960s to smear people who questioned the Warren Commission Report on the Kennedy assassination. Not every conspiracy theory is true, of course, but labeling something a conspiracy theory doesn't make it false either.
Conspiracy theories – I can’t get enough of them! Fortunately there are so many floating about that we have been able to give you not one, not two, but now three lists of theories that many people believe with all their might. Be sure to read the earlier lists if you haven’t already and feel free to add any conspiracies missing from all three to the comments here.

10 Area 51

It makes the list because it appears in almost every alien or UFO conspiracy theory ever devised. The fact is Area 51 is real. It’s a popular target on Google Earth. Another fact is that the FAA has confirmed that no air routes go over or anywhere near Area 51, by direct order from the USAF. Read more

The Backwards Beast of Texas

Nick Redfern relates a story about the Backward Beast of Texas, one of the many strange and bizarre creatures reported in the Lone Star State.
The good state of Texas – which, I am proud to say, has been my home since 2001 – is filled to the brim with reports of strange and bizarre creatures. There is the legendary Goat-Man that lurks in and around Lake Worth; the Bigfoot creatures of the sprawling and mysterious Big Thicket; the so-called “Texas Chupacabras” that haunt the fields and woods around the cities of Austin and San Antonio; and the large winged monsters – some of a “flying humanoid”-type and others, astonishingly, of a pterodactyl nature – that are so frequently encountered in south Texas. Then there are those beasts of the Lone Star State that seem to positively defy explanation. Read more

Scientists Study Woman Who Can Have Out-of-Body Experiences on Demand

Scientists conducted a study of a woman who can will herself out of her body.
After a class on out-of-body experiences, a psychology graduate student at the University of Ottawa came forward to researchers to say that she could have these voluntarily, usually before sleep. "She appeared surprised that not everyone could experience this," wrote the scientists in a study describing the case, published in February in Frontiers in Human Neuroscience.

Pretty crazy, right? One would think that if you could leave your own body and float above it, you'd be a little more... vocal about it. But since it was a common experience for her - one she "began performing as a child when bored with 'sleep time' at preschool... moving above her body" instead of napping - it may have appeared unremarkable. This is way more interesting than what I did, which was indeed napping. Read more
