In the Hoodoo tradition, one is typically advised to write one's petition on brown paper torn, usually from a grocery type sack, on all four sides by hand. This is thought to make the paper pure. However, there are instances where the practitioner is allowed to cut the paper with a pair of scissors. The use of scissors is seen as symbolic of using weapons such as swords, knives, and daggers against one's enemies.  A video purports to show Florida's skunk ape near Plant City.

A video that purports to show a large, man- or ape-like creature in Alderman’s Ford park has been making the rounds on the Internet.

The 22-second video, taken from a great distance and without commentary, depicts a furry, dark figure walking along the tree line before disappearing into the forest. The footage was reportedly shot at the county park off County Road 39. Read more
