Witches, goblins, and spirits lurking in the shadows ruled the medieval worldview. They were supposedly banished by the Enlightenment as science bloomed, and religious institutions dismissed superstitions. But even as the empirical method advanced the cause of human knowledge, old beliefs continued to persist, grow, and change. Read more

An Approach to Goetia: Be Nice
Jason Miller advocates an approach to the Goetia opposite to that of the medieval grimoires: be nice.
Someone recently wrote me asking some questions about evocation and prefaced it with “I know you don’t approve of working with the spirits of the Goetia…”.
I think perhaps because I listed the Goetia as one of the five things that modern occultism needs to escape the gravity of (Bune is the Katy Perry of wealth magic) or that I have suggested that trusting them blindly is a mistake, that I may have come off as against the practice totally. This is of course not the case, and in fact I myself have contributed to Bune’s pop star status by including a spell invoking him in The Sorcerer’s Secrets. Read more

10 Effective Techniques for Astral Projection
If you have attempted astral projection in the past without success, one of these ten effective techniques may work for you.
There has been a lot of confusion about Astral Projection, so I figured I’d explain what it is and how to do it. Dreaming, is an unconscious astral projection. When you sleep, your soul leaves your body. It literally leaves our 3D physical reality. This is caused by your pineal gland (the most important part of your brain) releasing Dimethyltryptamine aka DMT. DMT is what propels your soul out of body when you sleep, and when you’re about to die or have a ‘near death experience’. The thing is, you do not have control over what your soul does when it leaves your body while you sleep… Your subconscious controls it. The difference between normal sleep and astral projection is, when you astral project, you are able to consciously control your soul, and where it goes. Astral projection is basically just Conscious Sleep. When you start to fall asleep, but wake up right before it happens, you can literally feel your soul coming back into body. That is why you sometimes feel like you’re falling. The ‘head exploding sensation’ (as some people describe it), is the first step to starting an astral projection. That is one of the signs you know that you’re doing it right. You feel pressure in your brain, and your body starts to tingle. Then, your whole body goes limp, and if you can control it, your soul will leave your body shortly after. Read more

UFOs Seen Near rump’s Plane Before Inauguration
Does this indicate that President Trump is for the alien agenda - or against it?
It happened in Iowa early in the campaign for the Republican presidential nomination and now it’s happened again, this time on the day before the winner of that nomination and the election was inaugurated as president. A video of then president-elect Donald Trump’s “official government plane” (not his personal plane and not Air Force One) leaving New York on January 19th to travel to Washington DC for the inauguration and festivities shows what appears to be two UFOs. What could they be? Was the soon-to-be-president aware of them? Did they influence part of his inaugural address? Read more

10 Bizarre and Chilling Encounters With Black-Eyed Kids
Many people have reported encounters with black-eyed kids. These are ten of the most bizarre and chilling.
Perhaps one of the first urban legends of the Internet, stories and claims of encounters with black-eyed children can arguably be traced back to a report of an incident in 1996 involving a man named Brian Bethel.
Bethel claimed he was sitting in his car going through paperwork when a knock came at his car window. He looked out to see two young boys, around 12 years old, who asked the journalist for a ride to a local movie theater. He might have agreed, had he not noticed that where their eyes should have been were soulless, deep black stones staring back at him. He sped off as fast as he could, and since his account, numerous claims of sightings have flooded Internet chat rooms and alternative media sites.
While most, probably rightly, put these reports down to mistaken copycat sightings or out-and-out hoaxes, some have investigated deeper, and several sightings predate Bethel’s by decades. Whether they’re ghosts, demons, aliens, or simply the product of people’s overactive imaginations, the stories are all interesting and equally chilling. Here are 10 of them, and if you hear a knock at your door while reading these, maybe think twice before opening it. Read more

California Teen Has Six Doppelgängers
A California teen has discovered that she has six doppelgängers.
Throughout history, many cultures have developed folklore related to the concept of the doppelgänger – an exact lookalike of an individual. Sometimes doppelgängers take the form of a complete stranger who looks uncannily like another individual, or they can be a shadowy, ghost-like presence stalking people until they go mad. In some cultures, meeting one’s doppelgänger is a sign of impending doom, while in others the doppelgänger is a type of shadow self, following individuals everywhere they go but remaining at the edges of their own reality. Many famous figures have encountered their doppelgänger shortly before meeting some form of violent end or suffering, including Abraham Lincoln and French author Guy de Maupassant. Read more
