A Spell to See Fairies

You have undoubtedly heard stories about fairies, also known as the Fey, the Fair Folk, or the Little People. They are often associated with Ireland, but actually they exist all over the world.  Fairies live apart from humans, and generally don't want to be seen. Nevertheless, people have caught glimpses of them from time to time. This spell will allow you to see fairies. It can be cast any time the moon is full.

You will need the following items:

• Large jar
• Hard candies
• Cup of sugar
• Lavender Oil
• Rose petals
• Trowel or small shovel

On a full moon night, go with your spell items deep into a forest or wood.  Find a spot where the moon shines the most brightly. Then add your hard candy to your jar and say

 Sweets, sweets, that's what you are.

Next, add the sugar and say:

Sugar, sugar, that's what you are.

Finally, add the lavender oil and rose petals and say:

With the moonlight above,
I call upon the Fairy Queen and King,
Bring forth your tides.
I am here to harm none
Only to greet and love.

Dig a hole large enough to fit your jar in, leaving the top open, but do not allow any dirt to get inside. Leave the jar for one week. Do not go back until the week is up. Sit close by the jar, in a meditative state, Soon you will begin seeing the fairies.
