Flying Saucers, the Men in Black, and Mysterious Cars

Nick Redfern explores the connection between flying saucers, Men in Black, and mysterious cars.
For years – or perhaps even for centuries – the Men in Black have been elusive, fear-inducing figures who hover with disturbing regularity upon the enigmatic fringes of the UFO subject. They nurture and weave their very own unique brand of terror and intimidation. Like true specters from the outer edge, the MIB appear from the murky darkness, and roam the countryside provoking paranoia and fear in their notorious wake, before returning to that same shrouded realm from which they originally oozed. Very often traveling in groups of three, this definitive trinity of evil seemingly appears and disappears at will. They are very often seen driving 1950s-style black Cadillac’s. Particularly strange is the fact that most of the witnesses say that the cars of the Men in Black vanish almost impossibly quickly. It’s almost as if the vehicles of the MIB are beamed aboard UFOs. Maybe, that’s not too far from the truth. Read more

Are UFOs Tulpas?

Nick Redfern explores the question: Are UFOs tulpas?
One of the most fascinating and curious aspects of the UFO phenomena is the way in which, over the course of the last century, the appearance of both our alleged extraterrestrial visitors and their craft have changed dramatically. For example, in the latter part of the 19th century and early years of the 20th century, the skies of the United States (and, to a lesser degree, Britain) were filled with strange-looking flying machines known within ufological circles as “phantom airships.” As their name suggests, many of the aerial devices in question closely resembled the huge Zeppelin airships of the First World War. Essentially, the 19th century UFO invasion mirrored either what was on the drawing-boards, or what had been envisaged within the minds of both the military war-machine and skilled inventors of the time. Hillary Clinton's Leaked Emails Reveal Discussion of UFOs, ETs, and SPACE WARS

A leaked e-mail has revealed one of Hillary Clinton's closest allies had been talking about UFOs, extraterrestrials, and space wars with a former Apollo astronaut who believed in aliens.
Wikieaks website, founded by Julian Assange in 2006, has published an e-mail received by John Podesta, the chairman of Mrs Clinton's presidential campaign, from Edgar D Mitchell, one of the Apollo 14 astronauts and the sixth man to walk on the moon, in August last year.

The e-mail, in which Mr Mitchell and Mr Podesta appear to be on first name terms, reveals the pair were intending to have a conversation via Skype, apparently about the potential for war breaking out in space. Read more

It's Real: CIA Reveals Area 51 Location

Declassified CIA documents reveal the location of Area 51.
UFO buffs and believers in alien encounters are celebrating the CIA's clearest acknowledgement yet of the existence of Area 51, the top-secret Cold War test site that has been the subject of elaborate conspiracy theories for decades.

The recently declassified documents have set the tinfoil-hat crowd abuzz, though there's no mention in the papers of UFO crashes, black-eyed extraterrestrials or staged moon landings.

Audrey Hewins, an Oxford, Maine, woman who runs a support group for people like her who believe they have been contacted by extraterrestrials, said she suspects the CIA is moving closer to disclosing there are space aliens on Earth. Read more

Real Stories of Men in Black

Men in Black was inspired by scary stories of people who've seen UFOs, says Lee Spiegel.
When "Men in Black 3" opens everywhere over Memorial Day weekend, most moviegoers will just be hoping this sequel matches the original for popcorn-munching fun.

But there are many people who say they've been victimized by and live in fear of real MIBs. And those stories, told for decades, are just as terrifying as they are detailed.

Ever since the early 1950s, long before the first "Men in Black" movie hit the silver screen in 1997, men dressed in identical black suits, hats and sunglasses, claiming to be government agents, have reportedly shown up in black cars at the homes or offices of people who reported UFO sightings.

According to those who were paid these unwelcome visits, the MIBs threatened or harassed the eyewitnesses into staying quiet about their UFO encounters. Read more

Former Army Colonel: UFO Witnesses Need Amnesty

Retired Army Col. John Alexander is seeking amnesty for military personnel who have witnessed UFOs.
If you're in the military and have ever seen what you believe to be a UFO, but were reluctant to mention it for fear of ridicule or, worse, repercussions that might end your career, take heart. Things may change.

A former military insider with top secret clearance who created Advanced Theoretical Physics -- a group of top-level government officials and scientists brought together to study UFO reports -- has just called on three of the highest-ranking military and intelligence officials in the Obama administration.

Retired Army Col. John Alexander has one goal: to ask Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, CIA Director Gen. David Petraeus and National Intelligence Director Gen. James Clapper to offer amnesty to anyone in the military who has been previously sworn to secrecy about UFOs. Read more

Buried UFO? Big Metal Object Found In Austria

Is the metallic object found in a hole by Austrian farmer Franz Knoglinger a buried UFO?
An Austrian farmer looking for his lost cat stumbled upon a hole that he thinks might contain the greatest UFO find of all time.

Franz Knoglinger, 47, found the 25-foot-deep, perfectly round hole in northwestern Austrian field while searching for his misplaced kitty Sunday night. He pulled out every investigative trick in the book to learn what was at the bottom.

Throw a rock down the hole? Check.

"I was looking for our family cat Murlimann when I noticed the hole -- I didn't know how deep it was then so I dropped the stone down there, and heard a metallic clunk," he told the Austrian Times. Read more

Was JFK Assassinated Because He Wanted to Reveal Truth about UFOs?

Was JFK assassinated because he wanted to reveal the truth about UFOs? A letter written by President John F. Kennedy to the head of the CIA in 1963, ten days before his assassination, demands to be shown highly confidential documents about UFOs.
An uncovered letter written by John F Kennedy to the head of the CIA shows that the president demanded to be shown highly confidential documents about UFOs 10 days before his assassination.

UFOs: An Alternative Theory

If UFOs exist, what are they are where do they come from? Many people assume that they are extraterrestrial, but could they actually be from earth?
UFO’s have been sighted all around the world. Witnesses describe them as being far beyond current technologies developed by mankind and therefore must be the stellar vehicles developed by intelligent beings from a planet outside our own solar system.

But what are alternative theories not commonly discussed in the news?

This thought provoking question sent me on a mission to discover alternative theories that are backed by extensive documentation and evidence. It seems I was lead backwards in time to an ancient civilization on earth called Atlantis – a taboo subject according to modern scholars, however it had to be considered at some point in my studies. Top 10 Alien Life and UFO Believers

Scientists deny that UFOs exist, despite all the evidence to the contrary, and the government keeps silent about the subject. But there are a surprising number of prominent people who believe they're real. according to The Telegraph.
Numerous public figures from eminent scientists to politicians have stated their belief in the existence of alien life forms and UFOs.

Here we take a look at some of the most notable claims:

1. Professor Stephen Hawking

Last year, the revered physicist and cosmologist suggested that extraterrestrials almost certainly exist but that humans should be taking steps to avoid them rather than seek them out.

He said: “To my mathematical brain, the numbers alone make thinking about aliens perfectly rational. The real challenge is to work out what aliens might actually be like.”

“We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we wouldn’t want to meet.

“I imagine they might exist in massive ships, having used up all the resources from their home planet. Such advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads, looking to conquer and colonise whatever planets they can reach.” Read more

"UFOs" includes a foreword by John Podesta and riveting, first-person accounts written by over a dozen military and aviation witnesses and official investigators from around the world. Contributors include a former governor of Arizona, the former head of the FAA's Accidents and Investigations Division, military generals from five countries, a retired senior research scientist from NASA, Air Force and commercial pilots, and government officials from agencies investigating UFOs in their respective countries. 5 UFO Sightings That Even Non-Crazy People Find Creepy.

Most UFO sightings are simply misidentified flying objects: planets, meteors, aircraft, etc. Some are hoaxes. A few truly can't be explained. Of those that remain explained, Cracked.com explores five UFO sightings "that even non-crazy people find creepy."
If you want to research UFO sightings, we hope you like bullshit. Because you're about to be drowned in sensationalist books and blogs from UFO enthusiasts who declare every blinking light in the sky to be the opening scenes of Independence Day. It's no coincidence that so many people who encounter UFOs also really want to believe in them.

However, buried deep within the U.S. military's own records are some very bizarre, and very well-documented sightings that have to give even a skeptic second thoughts.
Are they aliens? We're not saying that. We're just saying they're really, really weird. Read more

UFOs Buzz Australian Nuclear Site

Although most people are completely unaware of its existence, the UFO/nuclear connection is well-established. A recent incident occurred in Australia after UFOs were spotted at the nuclear waste storage facility in Australia's Northern Territory.
Aliens could be the latest to weigh in on the nuclear waste storage debate after UFOs were spotted near the proposed Territory facility.

Muckaty Station manager Ray Aylett said he saw UFOs hovering over a part of his station north of Tennant Creek last Wednesday.

8 UFO Cases That Generate Buzz

Most UFO sightings are simply unidentified or misidentified flying objects and are soon forgotten. However, these eight UFO cases still generate buzz.
UFO investigators see references to rocket ships, aliens and astronauts that go back to the days when humans first put chisel and paintbrush to rock. More than 6,000 years later, objects that are unidentified - at least at first - continue to appear in the skies and generate buzz.

Take, for example, the blazing pinwheel that appeared in Norwegian skies in December 2009, shown here. The sight sparked speculation that aliens were sending earthlings a signal. Other researchers speculated – and the Russian military later confirmed – that a missile failed. Read more
